Ketchikan Public Utilities announced a power failure Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of Carlanna Lake Road and the Bailey Power plant.
According to KPU, linemen are on-scene along with emergency vehicles, and every effort will be made to restore power as soon as possible. Residents are asked to use caution if they need to travel through the affected area.
The Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly meets on Monday, and in addition to a presentation from city officials about the switch to chloramine water disinfection, the Assembly will talk about repairs to the roof over the borough’s new pool. more
