Jackson Street closed tonight for trick-or-treating

Today is Halloween, and as is traditional in Ketchikan, Jackson Street will be closed to traffic between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., to allow safe trick-or-treating.

According to the borough’s Transit Department, the Green Line bus will use an alternative route during that time, taking Baranof Avenue to Jackson Street to 4th Avenue, using a temporary bus stop at 4th and Jefferson. After 8:30, the bus will resume its normal route.
