Vets’ Day holiday Monday

Sunday, Nov. 11, is Veterans’ Day, but Monday is the observed holiday, giving many people a three-day weekend.

Local government offices, most banks and many businesses will be closed on Monday. However, all SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium facilities will be open regular business hours for the holiday.

According to SEARHC, many patients and employees are veterans in need of services. The health-care consortium can help veterans get enrolled for Veterans Affairs health services.

Also on Sunday and Monday, the Ketchikan Gateway Borough bus system will operate normal schedules and routes.
