Heating oil theft reported at Edna Bay School

Sometime over the Presidents Day holiday, someone stole about $100 worth of heating oil from Edna Bay School.
Alaska State Troopers in Klawock were told of the theft early Wednesday morning. According to Troopers, the crime occurred sometime between midnight Monday and 6:30 Tuesday morning.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Troopers in Klawock.
A dead sea lion that washed up on the beach at Refuge Cove was dissected Thursday in hopes of finding out what caused the death. The necropsy took several hours, and attracted many observers. But it didn’t provide any clear answers. more
The Ketchikan School Board gathered for an informal goal setting session Wednesday evening. The Board took advantage of the discussion to express concern over its relationship with the Borough to a member of the Association of Alaska School Boards. more
