Don Young news conference

The following audio contains the news conference from Wednesday, March 27, in Ketchikan, during which Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska, used an offensive term when referring to migrant farm workers. The audio was edited lightly for clarity. For example, we removed a section where a staff member of Cape Fox Lodge arrived with coffee.

Other people present at the event were a Ketchikan Daily News reporter and two of Don Young’s staff members.

KRBD is working on a follow-up story on the issue.
