Assembly to fund covered walkways

At Monday night’s Borough Assembly meeting, the assembly approved approximately $62,000 in CPV funding for covered walkways at Berth III.  A resolution opposing mandatory state-wide group insurance was opposed.  Assembly Member Alan Bailey provides an update.  Assembly112613

Rescue squad stays ready for the next emergency

The Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad was the first group on the scene of a deadly float plane crash in Misty Fjords more than a month ago. The rescue squad didn't disband after that mission, however. They're still training, making sure they’re prepared for the next time someone needs their help.
