James A. Cole pens maritime history

Author Jim Cole will be in Ketchikan April 2nd to present his book, “Drawing on our History: Fishing Vessels of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.”  Cole provides a narrative history and penned most of the drawings.

State identifies body from Blackberry Lane fire

The state Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified a body from last week’s house fire as that of the resident, 49-year-old Ralph Smith of Ketchikan. more
