Financial planning simulation for students

The Financial Foundation Task Force, part of the Ketchikan Wellness Coalition, is holding a financial planning simulation at Shoenbar Middle School Friday. 7th graders will make decisions about what to spend on and what to save. Chelsea Goucher and Gail Klein joined KRBD to talk about the event.

Decrease in 4-year graduation rate, small increase in drop-out rate

The Ketchikan School District’s 4-year graduation rate dropped in the 2013-2014 school year. It fell from 77 percent to 73 percent. That’s still slightly higher than the statewide rate of 71 percent. more
