HospitalPeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is in the middle of contract negotiations with the Ketchikan chapter of the Alaska Nurses Association, and talks don’t seem to be going well.

According to the Ketchikan’s Nurses Facebook page, the group plans to hold informational picketing at the corner of Tongass and Jefferson on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

An earlier post from Jan. 7 on that same page notes that negotiations didn’t result in agreement, and that the two sides were going into mediation.

KRBD left messages Friday seeking additional information from PeaceHealth officials and from the Ketchikan ANA chapter president, Susan Walsh. Neither side responded by the time of this report.
