The New Old Time Chautauqua kicked off its 2015 summer tour of Southeast in Ketchikan. The event included parades, potlucks, free workshops and a variety show, with everything from jugglers and magicians, to hula hoopsters and musicians.

Below is an audio postcard from various Chautauqua events in Ketchikan.

You heard tour coordinator Anne Gavzer, a portion of the parade, an improv workshop, a ukulele workshop, sounds from the evening performance, and enthusiastic audience member Lily Jensen.

The Chautauqua is traveling by Alaska Marine Highway System ferry for its Southeast tour. After Ketchikan, the performers will head to Wrangell, then Petersburg, Juneau, Hoonah and Haines, before wrapping up the trip in Sitka.
