There will be a One Ketchikan One Book panel discussion on Wednesday, October 24th beginning at noon at the UAS Ketchikan Campus Library. This book discussion will be centered on themes from “Alone Together: Why We Expect More From Technology and Less From Each Other,” by Sherry Turkle. These include loneliness, the impact of social media, connectedness verses solitude, and technology as nurturer. The discussion will be moderated by Assistant Professor of Sociology Dr. William Urquhart. Copies of the book are available for check out at the UAS Ketchikan Campus Library and at the Ketchikan Public Library.
