There isn’t much in the Alaska Senate’s capital budget for House District 36.
According to a project detail by house district, the Senate retained a $250,000 appropriation to the Inter-Island Ferry Authority that Gov. Bill Walker had included in his proposed budget.
The Senate also added a $1.5 million pass-through federal grant to pay for a remodel of the Ketchikan International Airport’s rescue and firefighting building.
The overall capital budget approved Saturday by the Senate totals $1.6 billion, with about 85 percent of that coming from the federal government.
The House has not yet approved a capital budget. That body was scheduled to take testimony on capital projects Monday evening.
