“One Poem A Day Won’t Kill You” Schedule
Poems air on Morning Edition at approximately 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and at the end of the KRBD Evening Report (approximately 5:45 pm). Poems also air during locally hosted music programs.
April 1 – Judith McQuerry reads an untitled poem by George Pasley.
April 2 – Janalee Gage reads her poem “The Carpetbagger.”
April 3 – Thomas Haugum reads an original piece called “Chaos.”
April 4 – Doug Rhodes reads his poem “Start of the Season Maintenance.”
April 5 – Licha Kelley-King reads an original poem called “The New Guy.”
April 6 – Wayne Kinunen reads “The Sea Fever” by John Masefield.
April 7 – Erika Schaubach reads her poem “Virga.”

April 9 – Karen Petersen reads “Ode to my Socks” by Pablo Neruda.

April 11 – Cleo Reed recites an original work – “Hearts Don’t Age Like Hands.”
April 12 – Nicole Colby reads ““Dedicatory” by Willa Cather from her 1903 poetry collection April Twilights
April 13 – Stephanie Patton reads her poem “Story Writer.”
April 14 – Thomas Parksmith reads a original work – “Symphony of Spring.”
April 15 – Lori Ortiz reads “The Sky is Coming Apart and Together at the Same Time” by Maya Stein with the poet’s permission.
April 16 – Bridgit Stearns reads a poem by Black Elk (Hehaka Sapa) – “Everything the Power of the World Does is Done in a Circle.”
April 17 – Deborah Hayden reads “Father William” by Lewis Carroll.
April 18 – Linda Miles reads excerpts from “Radio” by Tom Clark with permission from Coffee House Press.
