More candidates have turned in paperwork for local elected office.
On Friday, Dragon London declared her candidacy for one of two open Ketchikan City Council seats. She joins Sam Bergeron and incumbent Janalee Gage in that race.
The other open council seat is held by Bob Sivertsen, who has filed to run for city mayor. The current mayor, Lew Williams III, is not seeking re-election.
Also on Friday, Sven Westergard and James Montgomery filed to run for Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly. Also running for the two open assembly seats are Danielle Pratt, Austin Otos and Dan Bockhorst.
Those two seats currently are held by Stephen Bradford and Felix Wong.
Running for three open seats on the Ketchikan School Board are incumbents Lana Boler and Matt Eisenhower, Rachel Breithaupt (bright-HOWP), Bridget Mattson and Sonya Skan.
The third open school board is currently held by Alma Parker.
The filing period for candidates ends at noon on Monday. The municipal election is Oct. 2.
