A 50-year-old Hollis man was arrested Friday at Ketchikan International Airport and charged with possession of an estimated $50,000 worth of methamphetamine.

According to the Alaska State Troopers online dispatch, the state drug enforcement unit, assisted by K-9 Misty, stopped Stanley Lynch who allegedly had 159 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

According to troopers, Lynch tried to discard the drugs during the contact.  He was charged with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.

According to troopers, officers with the Craig Police Department and troopers from the Ketchikan and Craig posts assisted with this investigation.
