Hikers can once again drive to Ketchikan’s Dude Mountain Trailhead. The U.S. Forest Service says it’s repaired Brown Mountain Road after it was damaged by a winter landslide.

The federal agency closed the road at the intersection with White River Road in January after discovering someone had damaged a culvert in an attempt to drive around the landslide.

The 1.5-mile Dude Mountain Trail is a popular summer hiking trail northeast of Ward Cove in Ketchikan.
