Maria Dudzak, KRBD Program Director, was acknowledged at the recent Chamber of Commerce Gala for her unparalleled customer service skills.
The Rotary Club sponsored the Exemplary Customer Service award that cited Maria’s role as the station’s “Swiss Army Knife.” The nomination highlights not only her massive technical mastery of all things electronic at KRBD, but her gracious manner and incisive questions when she has guests on Morning Edition.
Maria provides time each morning for local organizations to increase awareness of their programs and events. The interviews are shared on the KRBD website. Her nominator said Maria provides a “hugely significant daily presence in our lives though KRBD radio.”
Maria is also a talented singer and performer and was on stage during the Gala. KRBD Board President Vicki O’Brien accepted the award in her place. (You can see Maria this weekend in the First City Player’s production of We Will Rock You. Tickets available on line).
