“One Poem A Day Won’t Kill You” Schedule

Poems air on Morning Edition at approximately 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and at the end of the KRBD Evening Report (approximately 5:45 pm).  Poems also air during locally hosted music programs.

April 1 – Doug Rhodes reads a poem he wrote – “Not Worth a S#&!”

April 2 – Jamie King recites “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost.

April 4 – Traci Neal reads an original piece “Bounty Fills the Body.”

April 5 – C.I. Martin wrote and recites “The Sunday Bee Stung Me.”

April 6 – David Wieler reads his poem “Otters Sunk Our Skiff.”

April 7 – Judith McQuerry reads “We Went Out on the Porch” by George Pasley with permission of the author.

April 8 – Pat Tully reads a selection from Edgar Lee Masters’ “Spoon River Anthology.”

April 9 – Karen Petersen reads “Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich” (copyright 2006) read by permission of the author, Adam Rex.

April 10 – Bob Crochelt reads “Little Servant” written by his mentor, David Shapiro.

April 11 – Rebecca Brown reads “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale.

April 12 – Janalee Gage reads her poem “I Crave.”
