We are so excited to share that KRBD welcomed two new staff members to the News Department this week! Sydney Dauphinais has been hired as News Director and Hunter Morrison is joining us as a Reporter with support from Report for America.
Sydney comes to Ketchikan from Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing with her a public radio background in reporting on education, housing and economic inequities. She’s still settling into life in Southeast Alaska (which is code for her shipping container hasn’t showed up yet) and she’s excited to work with other people who love public, community-based radio.
Hunter comes to Ketchikan from KDLL in Kenai, bringing with him a background in environmental, arts and culture reporting. Hunter is settling into Ketchikan life and is excited to cover the fishing industry and Native issues.
Please join us in giving Sydney and Hunter a warm welcome to KRBD! You will be hearing them on the airwaves soon!
