Three Ketchikan school board members were up for recall in the Nov. 18 special election, and unofficial results indicate none of those resolutions passed. Members Jordan Tabb, Judy Leask Guthrie and board president Katherine Tatsuda will remain on the board. 

Out of the 11,920 registered voters in the borough, there were just 1,047 ballots counted in this special election.

In the resolution to recall board member Leask Guthrie, there were 396 ‘yes’ votes and 643 ‘no’ votes. 

In the resolution to recall board member Tabb, there were 368 ‘yes’ votes and 667 ‘no’ votes. 

In the resolution to recall board president Tatsuda, there were 396 ‘yes’ votes and 646 ‘no’ votes. 

The election cost the borough

Absentee ballots will be counted and published on Nov. 21. Election results will be certified by the Borough Assembly at the Dec. 1 meeting.
