A Ketchikan man pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of first-degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor.

According to a Wednesday press release from the Alaska Department of Law, 53-year-old Kevin Jordan was charged last year for an incident that occurred in Ketchikan between December 2023 and February 2024. Jordan was charged with eight felonies, including sexual abuse of a minor. One of those charges, a first degree sexual abuse of a minor count, was dismissed in July 2024. The other charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.

Jordan’s lawyer, Igor Herbey, could not immediately be reached for comment. The State’s Department of Law says Jordan could face up to 99 years in prison.

Jordan’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 11 at the Ketchikan Courthouse.
