Woman found dead underneath former Ketchikan building supply store

An 18-year-old Metlakatla woman was found dead in Ketchikan on Monday morning. Police do not suspect foul play but are still investigating.

Southeast shrimping temporarily closed

The state has expanded a fishing closure for shrimp in Southeast Alaska to protect the species. Shrimping is now closed to all harvesters through April 30.
