Council terminates rain gauge project

The Ketchikan City Council Thursday night voted to terminate funding for a controversial, decorative rain gauge. The council previously approved up to $100,000 for the project.

Power outages impact holiday weekend

Several Ketchikan residents and businesses were without power Sunday night through Monday afternoon after a transformer blew in the Hopkins Alley area. Other neighborhoods experienced short interruptions in other incidents.

Foundation receives Rasmuson match

The Ketchikan Community Foundation recently received $50,000 from the Rasmuson Foundation after raising $25,000 locally.
