Fifty years. Countless voices. One community.

On May 23rd, KRBD celebrates half a century of community radio in Southern Southeast Alaska — and we’re doing it live, together, right here in Ketchikan. Join us for a full day of live broadcasts featuring the incredible range of local talent that has always made this station something special: musicians, spoken word artists, poets, cultural performers, storytellers, and more.

If it can come through a microphone and move people, it belongs on our stage. Commemorative merchandise will be available all day!

Dance Through the Decades Costume Party

7pm–10pm | Ted Ferry Civic Center

Tickets: $20 in advance | $25 at the door

The first 200 tickets sold receive a commemorative Dance through the Decades ticket! (Tickets are in production and will be available to pick up at the station by May 1st. They make a fabulous bookmark!)

Dress Code: Come dressed as your favorite musical style or decade — classical to K-pop, ’70s to 2020s, anything goes. The more committed the costume, the better. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, best dressed, and more!

Food & Drinks: Hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, and hand-held bites all evening. Beverage service provided by The Asylum Bar, including beer, wine, and the signature “Rainbird” specialty cocktail. All proceeds from the specialty cocktail benefit KRBD.

Merch: Take home a piece of history! Commemorative 50th anniversary t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and more available for purchase all night.
