As filing deadline looms, some Ketchikan-area municipal races have more open seats than candidates
There are two open seats on Ketchikan’s Borough Assembly, and three on the school board. Each race has just one candidate as of Monday. The deadline to file paperwork to run for local office in Ketchikan or Saxman is Wednesday — two days from now.
