Donating your time is one of the best ways to help KRBD provide local news, music, and emergency alerts to Southern Southeast Alaska.
KRBD offers volunteers opportunities throughout the year, helping with community events and raffles, administrative duties, fund drives and other projects at the station. With your help, we can do even more to share KRBD’s programming and services with our communities.
If you would like to volunteer on the air, we can provide training and mentorship to help you learn! Here are a few of the opportunities we have available:
- Join a committee and help us plan our 50th Birthday Bash!
- Host an early morning Classical show on the weekend.
- Join our Board of Directors and help chart KRBD’s future.
- Come to the station and help organize, edit audio, input data, etc. We would love your help!
To become a volunteer, please download and fill out the application linked below. You may also download and look over our on-air volunteer agreement, which you will be required to sign should you volunteer to be on the air. Email your application to gm@krbd.org.
We will add you to our roster of volunteers when your skills and time are needed. If you are hoping to host a music or talk show at KRBD, please know that it may take us a little while to get back to you and spots open up at different times throughout the year.
