The amount of this year’s Permanent Fund Dividend will be released Sept. 18.

At 11 a.m. that day, at the Dividend Information Office in Anchorage, Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Bryan Butcher will announce the dividend payment that every eligible Alaskan will receive on Oct. 4.

Various news organizations have predicted that this year’s PFD payout will be smaller than in 2011. The last dividend was $1,174.

The largest dividend was in 2008, when eligible citizens received $2,069 each. The smallest was in 1984, with a payout of about $331.
