The Ketchikan Gateway Borough Board of Education will vote Wednesday on a three-year extension of Superintendent Robert Boyle’s contract, with a salary of $129,150 for the first year, effective July 1st.

The contract in front of the Board calls for a raise each year of the contract. If approved, Boyle would be paid $131,000 in 2015, and $133,000 the final year of the contract. Those numbers do not include benefits.

According to the proposed contract, the benefits include health insurance, a life insurance policy, 35 days of annual vacation, and an automobile allowance of $250 a month for using a personal vehicle to visit all the schools.

Boyle has been the Ketchikan schools superintendent since 2007.

Also on Wednesday’s agenda are reports on the Indian Policy and Procedures Committee and the district’s fiscal year 2015 budget.

The School Board meeting starts at 6 p.m. in Borough Assembly chambers at the White Cliff building. Public comment will be heard at the start and end of the meeting.
