A Ketchikan Grand Jury handed down indictments Thursday against three Ketchikan men. One faces a rape charge and the other two face felony drug charges.
According to information from the Ketchikan court, the Grand Jury indicted 35-year-old Adam Paul Archibald of Ketchikan for allegedly raping a woman on Dec. 5, 2009. A warrant was issued Thursday for his arrest on one charge of first-degree sexual assault.
The Grand Jury also indicted 31-year-old William Joseph Biggs III on five counts for alleged possession of illegal drugs, with intent to distribute. Those drugs are heroin, methamphetamine, and prescription medication. Biggs was arrested last week and is in custody on $10,000 bail.
Also indicted on Thursday was 41-year-old Daniel James Malone, who is charged with two counts of possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute. Malone initially was charged last month, and was released on bail following his arraignment.
In most cases, KRBD does not name defendants until after they’ve been indicted by a Grand Jury.
