Nobody was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing Monday afternoon near Meyers Chuck.

According to the Alaska State Troopers online dispatch, Ketchikan Flight Services received a mayday broadcast at about 2 p.m. Monday. The broadcast was from a plane with just the pilot on board.

Troopers identified the pilot as 55-year-old Allyn Morris of Washington.

Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad was notified and responded via helicopter to the Meyers Chuck area where the plane went down. The pilot was uninjured, and was brought to Ketchikan by about 5:30 p.m.
