A 30-year-old Klawock resident faces multiple drug charges after Alaska State Troopers allegedly found illegal drugs in his possession at the Ketchikan airport.

According to the troopers online dispatch report, law enforcement had received a tip that Kolten Tipton would be at the Ketchikan International Airport with narcotics.

Troopers say they contacted Tipton at the airport at about 5 p.m. Tuesday. They allegedly found methamphetamine, heroin and prescription medication in his possession.

Tipton was arrested and charged with three counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Ketchikan District Court.
