Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan are seeking information about a theft reported on Jan. 17th.

According to the troopers online dispatch report, sometime between Jan. 15th and 17th, someone broke the rear window of a vehicle and stole a speaker box and amp. The crime took place in the Old Homestead neighborhood off South Tongass Highway.

Troopers estimate the loss of property at $1,400, and damage to the vehicle at $350.

A 26-year-old Ketchikan woman faces felony drug charges after Alaska State Troopers allegedly found methamphetamine and heroin in her possession early Saturday morning.

According to the online troopers dispatch report, Jessica Gaube was stopped on Tongass Avenue at about 4 a.m. for a traffic violation. Troopers report that they found one gram of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Further investigation allegedly revealed about 22 grams of heroin.

Gaube was charged with second-degree and third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. Troopers estimate the street value of the drugs seized at $12,000.
