The U.S. Forest Service is accepting public comment through May 13th on its Prince of Wales Island “Out-Year Plan,” covering a variety of proposed activities for that part of the Tongass National Forest.

The plan is part of the Prince of Wales Landscape Level Analysis Project.

The “Out-year Plan” allows the public to track activities as they are implemented. Some of the items on the plan for this year include commercial timber harvest, precommercial thinning, invasive plant treatment, habitat restoration, stream culvert replacement, cabin maintenance and trail work.
