Alaska State Troopers say 52-year old Trina Nation died after she went for a cold plunge on Prince of Wales Island. 

The Ketchikan School District owes the Ketchikan Gateway Borough $5.4 million, according to the school district’s contracted auditors. The school board is exploring ways to pay that debt down.

Fifty-three-year-old Kevin Jordan was charged last year for an incident that occurred in Ketchikan between December 2023 and February 2024.

Twenty-three-year-old Logan Ohmer was sentenced to five years in jail with the potential to serve 20 more after being charged with 37 counts of possessing child sex abuse materials.
