A 22-year-old Ketchikan woman faces multiple felony drug charges after police responded Sunday to a call from a local hotel.

According to the Ketchikan Police Department, officers were called in because a woman was having trouble breathing. Police say they found Melissa Charles apparently under the influence of narcotics.

A search of the hotel room allegedly resulted in the seizure of 8.3 grams of methamphetamine, .35 grams of heroin, and cash and money orders totaling about $2,400.

Charles was arrested and charged with second-, third- and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
