A 28-year-old Ketchikan man was arrested Friday on charges of drug possession.

According to the Alaska State Troopers online dispatch, Jonathon Oaksmith was contacted because of an outstanding warrant on another charge. Troopers say Oaksmith had methamphetamine and heroin in his possession, as well as prescription medication and paraphernalia.

Oaksmith was arrested and faces two counts of third- and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, one count of violating conditions of release, and the outstanding warrant.
