A 62-year-old fisherman was medevaced from a fishing boat near Ketchikan on Monday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The alert was received from the fishing vessel Wonderland at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, and a 45-foot response boat was sent from Station Ketchikan. The Coast Guard reports that the man was experiencing severe abdominal pains.
The man was taken to Bar Harbor in Ketchikan and transferred to EMS at about 10:45 p.m.
