Authorities say they’ve intercepted a local 49-year-old man at Ketchikan International Airport attempting to bring in multiple narcotics on a flight from Seattle.

Patrick W. Jaynes faces weapon and drug charges following his Wednesday arrest. Police in Ketchikan seized about an ounce of methamphetamines and smaller quantities of cocaine and heroin.

A search warrant was executed which also turned up drug dealing paraphernalia and a .380 Beretta pistol.

Authorities say Jaynes attempted to flee detention, destroy evidence, and resisted arrest. He appeared in Ketchikan District Court  on Thursday where he was charged with multiple felony drug and weapon charges. Jaynes was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and his bail is set to a $50,000 cash appearance bond and a $50,000 cash performance bond.

His next court appearance is scheduled for August 9.
