The Tongass Futures Roundtable working group will meet Thursday and Friday in Ketchikan, and among other issues will discuss negotiations over land trades with the Alaska Mental Health Lands Trust.

The U.S. Coast Guard has released video footage of the rescue of a fisherman who spent Friday night adrift in a fish tote off the shore of Kruzof Island.

According to the Ketchikan School District, starting Friday, regular school buses will return to picking up and dropping off students at Houghtaling Elementary and Revilla High School.

While construction continues on Jackson Street, the City of Ketchikan recommends that pedestrians use Seventh and Fifth avenues when walking between Ketchikan High School, Holy Name Elementary, and/or Houghtaling Elementary.
