Voters OK harbor bonds

City of Ketchikan voters approved a bond proposition Tuesday by a wide margin, allowing the city to issue up to $5 million in bonds for harbor improvements. Voter turnout was low, however, with only 7 percent of registered voters showing up to vote.

Water Street closed Wednesday for repairs

City of Ketchikan voters will decide Tuesday whether to approve up to $5 million in harbor improvement bonds. Officials say the bonds will help the city’s chances of getting an additional $5 million, or more, to pay for needed harbor projects.
