Ketchikan Police DepartmentAlaska State Troopers and Ketchikan Police Department drug investigators have been busy recently.

The Troopers’ online dispatch report listed 10 different defendants who were indicted this month on felony drug charges, and KPD announced the arrests of five people following a long-term drug investigation.

According to the Troopers dispatch, nine of the 10 indictments took place on Feb. 4th. Those defendants and their charges are:

  • 26-year-old Grant C. Ernst of Washington faces one count of second-degree controlled-substance misconduct. He allegedly was found with an ounce of heroin after he arrived on a plane from Seattle. A $10,000 arrest warrant has been issued.
  • Madlyn F. Jensen, 26, of Ketchikan faces three felony drug charges for allegedly selling heroin and methamphetamine to a confidential informant. She was issued a summons to appear for arraignment.
  • 30-year-old Sean D. Maynard of Ketchikan was indicted on three felony drug charges for allegedly selling heroin and methamphetamine to a confidential informant.  He was issued a summons to appear for arraignment.
  • 28-year-old Dominick G. Barnes of Ketchikan was indicted on three felony drug charges for allegedly selling heroin and methamphetamine to a confidential informant.  Barnes was already in custody on another charge, and was remanded for the additional charges.
  • 34-year-old Mark F. Romine was indicted on five felony drug charges for allegedly selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant and for alleged possession of Hydrocodone tablets and methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.  He already was in custody on unrelated charges and was remanded on the additional charges.
  • 25-year-old Juan M. Alvarado of Ketchikan faces felony drug charges for an alleged role in selling Oxycodone to a confidential informant.  He was issued a summons to appear at an arraignment.
  • 24-year-old Kelsey L. Betts of Ketchikan was indicted on felony drug charges for an alleged role in selling Oxycodone to a confidential informant.  She was issued a summons to appear at an arraignment.
  • 56-year-old Betty Jo Fox of Ketchikan was indicted on felony drug charges for an alleged role in selling Oxycodone to a confidential informant.  She was issued a summons to appear at an arraignment.
  • Daniel J. Mann, 25, of Ketchikan, was indicted on two counts of felony drug charges for allegedly selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant.  He was issued a summons to appear at an arraignment.

And on Thursday, troopers report, 30-year-old Zachariah N. Jaqua of Ketchikan was indicted on one felony drug charge for allegedly selling heroin to a confidential informant. He also faces one count of tampering with evidence. A $2,500 warrant was issued for Jaqua’s arrest.News Tile

The Ketchikan Police Department announced this week that on Feb. 9th, officers had concluded a long-term drug investigation. The following people were arrested and face felony drug charges: 33-year-old Randall Blair; 21-year-old Sharlene Cannon; 19-year-old Christal Acker; 23-year-old Alexander Karlson; and 28-year-old Dustin Willard.

All five were indicted by a Ketchikan Grand Jury on Thursday.
