In a special meeting Thursday, the Ketchikan City Council will look at ideas for renovating the downtown Centennial Building.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has scheduled a meeting for noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Ted Ferry Civic Center in Ketchikan to provide information about the new North Pacific groundfish and halibut observer program.

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly voted unanimously Monday to increase the spending authority of the Ketchikan School District by about $1.8 million.
