A new eye care clinic has opened on Prince of Wales Island. The clinic, operated by Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, opened Nov. 19th, and is located in the Klawock Mall.

Comment period opens for Dargon Point EA

The Tongass National Forest is seeking comments on a proposed commercial thinning project on Prince of Wales Island. The project, Dargon Point, is a young-growth timber project. According to the Forest Service, it is part of a broader effort to transition from old-growth to young-growth harvest.
