The Prince of Wales Island Community Advisory Committee last week approved a new resolution listing the island’s transportation project priorities for consideration by state and federal officials.

The Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that Ann McKim, Katherine Tatsuda, Andrew Spokley and Penny Pedersen have been elected to three-year terms on the chamber’s board of directors.

Up to 20 residents on Pennock and Gravina Islands lost power Tuesday evening. Ketchikan Public Utilities hoped to get the power back online Wednesday evening.

A water main break in the Denali Avenue/ Buren Road area means some residents in those neighborhoods will be without water for up to eight hours.
